Review: Alohas Tb.490 Suede Sneakers

These sneakers were on my October wishlist, and if you know about my love for sneakers, you’d guess I’d actually buy them. And you would be right! I bought them, and here is my honest review.

I found out about Alohas through TikTok. Except for being beautiful, I’ve heard many good things about Alohas sneakers. Mostly for this model, Tb. 490, which was a hit for a reason. They remind me a lot of Adidas Samba sneakers (but better). I love this silhouette — it’s just perfect! And even more perfect is the range of colors they come in. My favorites are Dusty Olive, Crochet Cream, Pink, and Soft Camel

I bought the Tb.490 Club Suede Raspberry Leather Sneakers. They feature a long folded tongue that reminds me of the Adidas Samba x Wales Bonner collection. This design element really enhances the classic silhouette and takes it to a whole new level. My favorite colorways are Raspberry and Blue, and I decided to go with the Raspberry ones. While I typically don’t prefer strong, bright colors, I find these to be beautiful. I have some sweaters in similar colors that pair well with them, but they also serve as a great pop of color on their own. After wearing them, my opinion only improved. They are true to size, felt very comfortable and caused no blisters. Most importantly, they looked fantastic!

A significant advantage of Alohas is their strong commitment to sustainability. Occasionally, you can find their products available at a 30% discount through their ‘on demand’ option. The only downside is that delivery takes a bit longer since production starts only after you place your order. If you’re in the market for fresh, comfortable kicks that (still) aren’twidely known, I highly recommend Alohas. P.S. They offer more than just sneakers!
