I have expressed my love for Clinique’s Almost Lipstick, especially in the shade Black Honey, several times. If you’re curious about why I adore it so much, you can read more here. Clinique’s Black Honey was initially a bit expensive for me; although I did eventually purchase it, I spent some time searching for more affordable alternatives first. I recently found another dupe, so I will compare Clinique’s lipstick with three cheaper options in total.
Labello
Yes, you read that right — Labello in Blackberry Shine is very similar to the Black Honey shade. It’s only 3€, making it an affordable choice. While it’s very nourishing, it is much less long-lasting compared to the real deal, which is expected since it’s a lip balm. If you’re looking for something inexpensive and moisturizing that will provide a hint of color, this is definitely the option for you!
Catrice Power Full 5 Lip Care
This is the first of two Catrice dupe options (they are truly making a mark). Although it isn’t labeled as a lip balm or lipstick, it leans more towards being a lipstick. This would be my top choice if I hadn’t discovered the next option and if it weren’t available only online. It’s quite nourishing, containing ingredients like cucumber, watermelon, goji berry, ginger root, and hyaluronic acid. While it’s heavier than Clinique’s version, that extra weight also means it lasts longer. The price is around 4,20€, and if you’re looking for a Black Honey look, I recommend getting it in shade 040 Addicting Cassis.
Catrice Care in Colours
This is, in my opinion, the last and best dupe available. Although it is labeled as a lip balm, I find that it resembles lipstick more than Labello. It’s called Care in Colors, and if you’re looking for a shade similar to Black Honey, I recommend trying 050 Wild Rebel. When comparing it to the actual Black Honey, it’s quite similar. It feels nourishing, and it has a comparable longevity; however, it does feel a bit heavier. It’s not too overwhelming, though, and it’s priced at just 3,90€. I consider this the best dupe for Clinique’s Almost Lipstick in Black Honey.
