Winter boots: My collection

After recommending 31 pairs of boots, it’s time for me to reveal my winter shoe collection. I live in Europe, so there isn’t a big need for ultra-durable boots, but my feet do get pretty cold, so I love warm boots. A few boots I own are only for ‘fashion,’ but don’t worry — I’ll mention everything you need to know about every pair.

Dr.Martens

These are the first pricey boots and really shoes, I ever bought. I saved up and treated myself to the Dr. Martens Jadon model. I was never a huge fan of Martens before, but these Jadon platform boots caught my eye immediately. I wear them quite often, pairing them with everything from basic jeans to dresses for a night out. Picture this: a satin slip dress with grunge Martens — it’s a look to die for!

I’ve heard that Martens can be uncomfortable at first, but I haven’t had that problem. I did, however, sprain my ankle in them a few times, so always make sure to wear them tied up. They are true to size, and as I mentioned, they’re made from genuine leather. The quality is nice, even though the sole is PVC. They retail for 230€, but you can often find them on sale.

Inuikii

These are by far the warmest boots I own and wear. I find them very stylish, although many might disagree. I reach for them quite often. Not only are they very warm, but they’re also easy to put on since they’re a slip-on model. They claim to be waterproof, I mean I’ve never worn them in deep water, but my feet were never wet in them. They don’t run true to size, so be careful — I suggest sizing up for these! I have Classic Sneaker Patchwork in Beige which is discontinued but I’ve linked similar ones. I got them a few years ago for 140€ and now they start from 249€.

Moon Boot

I mentioned that Inuikii boots are the warmest I own, but if I actually wore Moon Boots, they would be the warmest. I love their massive look, which I find really cool, even though (again) many might disagree. They are quite gigantic, which is one of the reasons why I don’t wear them — I can’t even drive a car in them!

The main reason I bought them is that I found them for 50€, while they are currently priced around 180€. I wish I were someone who skis and spends winters in the mountains; then I would actually get to wear them. As it stands, I only wear them when I’m shoveling snow or putting together an extra outfit for coffee in town. You can’t go wrong with the sizing, as they come in ranges like 35/38, and so on.

Riding boots

I know you’ve read about the riding boots I purchased this year, but I’ll remind you. I got my riding boots from La Botte Gardiane, a French brand that specializes in handcrafted shoes. I love mine, you can truly feel and smell the quality of the leather. The classic riding boot model is priced at 614,59€, but I managed to get mine for 109€ on Vestiaire.

They run true to size, however, I should note that they are quite narrow around the calf — mine barely fit. The boots are also a bit stiff, which is to be expected given the high quality of the leather. One good thing is that leather tends to soften with wear, so I hope they will stretch out a bit at the top. They aren’t the warmest, so I’d say they are primarily for fashion.

Ankle cowboy boots

These shoes also fall into the category “mostly because of fashion.” I never planned to buy them, but I wear them a lot. I got them some time ago, so they aren’t available anymore. They are from Pull&Bear, and I bought them on sale for 20€. That year, I discovered Isabel Marant, and since I couldn’t afford her designs, I opted for this pair instead. I mainly wear them with casual outfits and when going out, particularly in the fall. I’ve searched for similar pairs but had no luck, except for Isabell Marant ones so I’m leaving you a link to them.

And that’s pretty much it for this years winter boots guide. I hope you’ve found it useful! If not, I’m leaving you a link to my Pinterest board where you can see everything in one place.
